Hydroderm Anti-Aging Products
Looking for useful information about Hydroderm anti-aging products? Then you’ve come to the right place. In this article, I’m going to share the results of my research into these products, so you’ll be better informed on what you can expect from both the company and their products. So let’s begin.
To start with, the product was created in 2003, and the company is based in Culver City, California.
They produce a wide variety of products, which includes anti-wrinkle creams, eye serums, lip enhancers, skin toning lotions, and body shape lotions.
The company claims to have over 750,000 happy customers. (Although based on actual user feedback I’ve found online, not everyone is happy with them).
The main formula behind their products is called “VyoSerum”, which is designed to “tighten” and moisturize your skin. It does this by “delivering a full and complete collagen molecule, directly to the cells of your skin”. However, research has shown that it’s not actually possible for a complete collagen molecule to penetrate the outer layers of the skin – the molecule is simply too large.
In their marketing, they also claim that their product is superior because it delivers “whole collagen molecules” to the skin, whereas “other companies” only deliver “partial” collagen molecules. The whole thing seems pretty questionable and unverified by clinical trials.
They also claim that it will take around 3 weeks to see results, with consistent daily use of their Hydroderm anti-wrinkle product.
Some of the other claims made by the marketing team are:
- It reduces wrinkles by 63.5%
- It firms and tightens the surface of your skin.
- It can stimulate the new growth of existing skin cells.
It does this by supposedly delivering whole collagen molecules directly to the skin cells. However, as explained before, this isn’t exactly possible – and there are no studies to verify this claim. They compare their product to collagen injections – but the truth is it isn’t possible for a topical cream to have the same effect as the injection.
So what other ingredients are included in Hydroderm?
Firstly, it doesn’t seem to contain any of the big-three anti-aging ingredients, such as Argireline (which relaxes facial muscles), Matrixyl (which boosts collagen production), or even hyaluronic acid (to moisturize the skin). However, they do contain paraben preservatives, which may be linked with developing dermatitis.
The cream is meant to be applied twice a day, using just a small amount on the fingertips – and then rubbed into the required areas.
The price weighs in at $79.95 – making this quite expensive, but certainly not the most expensive cream which promises similar benefits.
Most importantly, what are people saying about Hydroderm?
Unfortunately, the feedback isn’t good. One popular consumer feedback forum contains dozens of posts which claim that cancelling the re-bills from the company is very hard. It seems they may have fallen into the shady re-bill tactics which have become quite common in this industry. It works by offering the consumer a free trial, and making it quite difficult to cancel the order – not until you’ve had to pay full price for a few more months of supply, anyway. So make sure you read the small print before you commit to any free trial offer.
Other feedback from consumers comments on the poor customer service (usually in relation to the automatic billing).
There are a few positive comments which claim the product has shown results for them, but the details aren’t very specific. There are also a few comments which basically state the product did nothing for them. However, the overwhelming majority of feedback is about the difficulty of cancelling the automatic billing once you’ve signed up for a free trial.
To summarize, there are better products available at this price point – which have more verifiable results, clinical studies which prove their effectiveness, as well as positive user feedback. So it’s probably best to give this cream a miss.
